Timely Promise –Monetary Reward for Attaining 10 Pillars Good news! All 4th year MCU students (including Students in Extended Study Period of 2022-23) may participate in the Timely Promise -Monetary Reward for Attaining 10 Pillars. Register before April 30, 2023. Those who earn 10 Pillars Certificates before July 20, 2023 will have the opportunity to be the top 100 lucky people who earn a monetary reward for attaining the 10 Pillars. The Certification of Ten Pillars Competency is the first proof of practical competitiveness cultivated by the institution. The MCU President confers the Certification of Ten Pillars Competency to representatives on both Taipei and Taoyuan campuses during the Graduation Ceremony. Students who achieve Excellence in 10 Pillars will also earn a Letter of Recommendation from the President, which will benefit graduates during interviews for employment.
A total of 1744 graduates passed the 10 Pillars Education Assessment in 2021-22. Student HUNG, CHUN-YU of Department of Leisure and Recreation Management was among the 16 students who not only passed the Ten Pillars assessment, but also achieved Excellence in 10 Pillars. Each of these students received a Letter of Recommendation from the MCU President upon graduation. In order to encourage students to pass the Ten Pillars assessment, the institution provides 100 opportunities for students to earn a monetary reward. Students who register for the “Tmely Promise – Monetary Reward for Passing 10 Pillars” before April 30, 2023 and earn their 10 Pillars Certificate before July 20, 2023 will have the opportunity to receive NTD 1,000. Those who accept the challenge to earn Excellence in 10 Pillars will have the opportunity to receive NTD 6,000, which means diligent students have the opportunity to earn a total of NTD 7,000 reward. (Only regular students are eligible for this reward. Please register online before July 20, 2023 with a 600-word essay on the theme of Reflections on Cultivating the Ten Pillars.)
Furthermore, in order to assist learning outcomes for financially or culturally disadvantaged students, with the support of the Higher Education Sprout Project – Financially or Culturally Disadvantaged Students Learning Counseling Mechanism, all disadvantaged students who pass the 10 Pillars Education Assessment will receive a NTD 3,000 to 6,000 subsidy. A total of 118 students received the subsidy in 2021-22 (Only financially or culturally disadvantaged students are eligible for this subsidy.). All graduates are reminded to review your achievements regarding 10 Pillars by clicking on the 10 Pillars link in the Student Information System. Complete all the assessment procedures for uncompleted competencies before July 20, 2023. Once you have passed the 10 Pillars Education Assessment or are set to achieve this goal, you may challenge yourself to strive for Excellence in 10 Pillars to qualify for a Letter of Recommendation from MCU President and the abovementioned reward.
