2018.12.27 Welcome to the Concert in Commemoration of Ming Chuan University Founder Pao and Recognizing Distinguished Ming Chuan Alumni

Eternal President Pao of Ming Chuan University has been gone from us for ten years; we have never stopped thinking about her. Founder Pao devoted more than half of her life to her beloved education; she invested all her resources and spirit in Ming Chuan, faced and resolved many difficulties for cultivating youth along with MCU faculty, carved out career paths for students, and supported the nation and society with new strength. Dr. Teh-Ming Pao was also a leader of the women’s movement in modern China. Founder Pao devoted all her life to education and played an important role in promoting internationalized higher education in Taiwan.
Since Founder Pao has been gone from us for a decade now; today is an annual day of commemoration and appreciation. We will forever pass on Founder Pao’s educational philosophy of attending to all students with parental care, support, and guidance, and we will persist to uphold her spirit of “Persevere to the end with a pleasant smile” to make the reputation of Ming Chuan better than ever.
Founder Pao always insisted on holistic education, so we have not only invited Taipei City String Quartet and other musicians to performance classical music, but also focus on the most popular traditions: Football, Public Service Corps and Cheerleading-dance for this concert. In addition, we join together MCU students, alumni, faculty members and the robot led by our distinguished alumna Dr. Hui-Ching Tsai, General Manager of HIWIN TECHNOLOGIES CORP. to display MCU’s traditions and innovation. We will recognize the achievements of three distinguished Ming Chuan alumni. The MCU Family is proud of their outstanding performances.
